BPW: The voice of working Women

NATIONAL BUSINESS WOMEN'S WEEK
NATIONAL BUSINESS WOMEN'S WEEK
National Business Women's Week is observed annually to honor the contributions of working women and employers who support working women and their families. The Business and Professional Women’s Foundation started the celebration of National Business Women’s Week® (NBWW) to be held during the third week of October. NBWW provides an opportunity to call attention to women entrepreneurs, facilitate discussions on the needs of working women, share information about successful workplace policies, and raise awareness of the resources available for working women in their communities.
BPW/North Sarasota celebrated NBWW on Saturday, October 17th at Rosemary Thyme Restaurant in downtown Sarasota. Members and guests enjoyed an evening of fellowship, music and great food. Attending were Glenda Williams, chairperson, Deanna Manigo, president, Gwen Sermon, Cynthia Howard, Donna Timmons and Wendy White. Guests were Delores McFarland, vice chair of the Democratic Black Caucus and Robert Singleton.
