BPW: The voice of working Women
MEET OUR PRESIDENT:
Deanna Manigo has been elected to another term as president of BPW/North Sarasota. She has been a member of our local organization for over 30 years and has served in various capacities including vice president, membership chair and on numerous committees. Dee currently works as a companion aid with a local senior care facility. She assists families with their day-to-day living activities which include doing laundry, grocery shopping, cooking, reminding them of appointments and medication and just being available to have a conversation with them. She has worked in this capacity for the past seven years. She previously worked at Children First Head Start Program for 23 years, starting as a pre-school teacher and ending her career as a family advocate.
An avid reader, Dee enjoys reading books that helps her have a closer walk with God. She loves scrapbooking, consignment shopping and her chihauahua, Chloe. She also enjoys spending time with her family. Her mother is 81 years old, her sister works as a kitchen manager at a nursing home and her brother is a retired Marine and they enjoy their occasional gatherings.
Dee said she joined BPW many years ago to connect with other ladies in the community whom she admired and to grow professionally through training and community involvement.
